A friend of the host at this year’s new year’s party brought this interesting and healthier version of bean dip… and what’s great is that it is SO easy to make!
Servings: 10
Ingredients:
1 Can of your favorite beans (Black Eyed Peas were used in the version I tried)
1 cup of your favorite salsa (I think she used Tostito's Mild)
Directions:
Empty entire contents of the can of Black Eyed Peas into a bowl. Mix in one cup of favorite salsa, and stir together. Enjoy with your favorite corn chips or tortilla chips!
Note: This recipe is very versatile. Change it however you like! Use whatever you like! Some mentioned adding a can of corn (not cream style), or whatever you wish! A nice, healthy version of an old favorite, and since you can buy canned items without salt, it can be great for those of us with blood pressure or other health problems.
Serving size note: This dip goes VERY fast! You may, of course, want to double the amount of cans and cups used for a bigger crowd!
