Notes:
Tasty classic dish to enjoy without the carbs. Easy to prepare. Double the recipe to feed a family of 4….your hubby and kids won’t miss the breadcrumbs either.
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
Two 4 oz boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup low sugar or no-added sugar spaghetti sauce (I use Hunt's brand no added sugar Italian baking sauce or Classico brand Spicy Red Pepper Spaghetti Sauce)
1/2 cup shredded low fat/part skim milk mozzarella
1 tsp grated parmesan cheese
garlic salt or powder, to taste
italian seasoning, to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spray a shallow baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Season each side of chicken breast with garlic and italian seasonings and place in dish.
Spoon sauce equally over each breast of chicken.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven, sprinkle both cheeses equally over each breast of chicken and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted to your liking.
