Notes:
A quick and easy snack or lunch. It can be a dinner, but is not terribly filling as a dinner.
Servings: 1 pita = 1
Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Pitas, Fat Free Mottzerella Cheese, Low Fat Pizza Sauce or Spaghetti Sauce
Directions:
Take the whole wheat pitas (60 calories per)
Ragu/Prego Light Pizza Sauce (or light spaghetti sauce) (30 cals per 1/4 cup)
Fat Free Mottzerella Cheese (45 cals per 1/4 cup)
Put the pitas on any baking sheet, sperad the sauce over each one, spread the cheese over each one and bake at about 350 for 10 minutes (will vary depending on your oven, just watch for the cheese to melt and it's ready). Mine took about 9 minutes at 350 to be ready.
Also, if you want to add some other flavor, put Oregeno (spelling?) over the sauce before the cheese and it will bake in to the pizza. You can add salt/pepper as well if you want. I stayed away from pepperoni cause of the grease content when you cook them…would've мейд it not so healthy for you. I suppose Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes would be ok.
